Cloud Quality Engineer

About the role

We are hiring a Cloud Quality Engineer to own the quality of our weekly cloud releases end‑to‑end and to build the test infrastructure that lets the team scale. This is a hands‑on senior individual contributor role for someone who treats quality as a first‑class engineering problem, not a downstream gate.

Key responsibilities

• Drive weekly cloud release qualification end‑to‑end, reviewing every PR, assessing risk, and defining the appropriate qualification tests.
• Build and evolve functional, integration, performance, and fault‑injection test infrastructure that can scale 20× in coverage, environments, and traffic.
• Reason through the full stack—from client SDK to hardware—and debug issues across any layer.
• Review developer PRs with a focus on blast radius and test the actual impact of changes.
• Continuously increase automation coverage, fixing flaky tests and leveraging AI tooling for test creation and analysis.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in quality or test engineering on large‑scale distributed systems or cloud infrastructure.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), networking, compute orchestration, container platforms, and multi‑region production services.
• Proven track record of building scalable test frameworks and automation that grow with the system under test.
• Strong systems debugging skills, able to trace failures through multiple stack layers to root cause.
• Excellent written and asynchronous communication, comfortable operating across time zones.
