Clinical Psychologist – 24h Support Centre (Tier I)

About the role

The Clinical Psychologist (Tier I) provides 24‑hour psychological counselling and guidance to women and children who are victims of severe sexual offences at the Bharosa Support Centre in Hyderabad. Working in rotating shifts, the psychologist also coordinates referrals to shelters, rehabilitation centres and other support services.

Key responsibilities

• Draft comprehensive client case histories and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct individual and group counselling sessions with clients, families and other stakeholders.
• Implement appropriate therapeutic interventions based on each client’s needs.
• Follow the prescribed code of ethics, guidelines and protocols throughout the client lifecycle.
• Provide need‑based referral services to shelters, rehab centres and related agencies.
• Participate in, or lead, community awareness activities as required by case load.

Required profile

• Qualified clinical psychologist with experience in trauma‑focused counselling.
• Ability to work in shift‑based, 24‑hour service environment.
• Strong commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
• Willingness to engage with community outreach and awareness programmes.
