About the role

The Portland Area Manager will lead our janitorial teams across multiple sites, ensuring cleaning and maintenance tasks meet high standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role blends leadership, customer service, and operational expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial operations at various locations, maintaining cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Manage, train, and develop a team of janitors and supervisors, fostering high performance and teamwork.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction with services.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, guaranteeing resource availability.
• Prepare and manage budgets for labor, supplies, and equipment maintenance.
• Address client or staff issues promptly and professionally.
• Implement sustainability practices in cleaning methods and products.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics for senior management.
