Cladding Welder

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cladding Welder to perform welding and cladding operations according to drawings and approved procedures. The role involves operating automated cladding machines, preparing welds, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications to set up and execute GTAW, SMAW, and SAW cladding welds.
• Operate Fronius and other equivalent automatic cladding machines, including CNC welding programming.
• Select appropriate consumables based on the WPS and work order details.
• Perform pre‑heat, monitor inter‑pass temperature, and conduct post‑weld heat treatment (PWHT) as required.
• Maintain accurate welding records, report non‑conformances, and suggest improvements through CAR/PAR.
• Inspect welds visually, analyze defects, and carry out repair welds following procedure.

Required profile

• ITI or Diploma with at least 3 years of experience in cladding welding, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Proven experience operating automatic cladding machines and performing SMAW and GTAW welds.
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding specifications, and procedures.
• Attention to safety and ability to identify unsafe conditions.
