Civil Quality Engineer – Solar Projects

About the role

The Civil Quality Engineer will ensure that all civil engineering activities for solar energy projects meet the highest quality and safety standards. Working closely with project managers, construction teams, and design engineers, you will safeguard compliance with industry regulations and client specifications throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality assurance plans for civil aspects of solar projects.
• Review designs, specifications, and plans to verify compliance with standards such as ASTM, ACI, and ASCE.
• Conduct pre‑construction site assessments and identify potential quality issues.
• Perform regular inspections and audits of civil construction activities, monitoring materials, equipment, and workmanship.
• Document non‑conformities, recommend corrective actions, and report progress to stakeholders.
• Ensure safety compliance by identifying hazards, conducting safety inspections, and implementing mitigation measures.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, test results, and prepare final as‑built documentation.
• Participate in lessons‑learned sessions and suggest improvements to construction methods and quality control techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; professional certification or licensure is a plus.
• Proven experience in civil engineering and quality assurance/control within renewable energy or construction, preferably solar projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and relevant codes/standards.
• Familiarity with solar panel installation, mounting structures, and electrical interconnections.
