Chemistry Teacher (Grades 8‑10)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to deliver engaging lessons to students in grades 8‑10. The successful candidate will foster a deep understanding of physical, organic and inorganic chemistry while promoting scientific inquiry.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Chemistry lessons aligned with the prescribed curriculum.
• Teach concepts in Physical, Organic, and Inorganic Chemistry with clarity.
• Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments and teaching aids.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations, ensuring strict safety procedures.
• Assess student performance through tests, assignments, projects and practical evaluations.
• Maintain attendance records, marks and progress reports.
• Provide remedial coaching and doubt‑clearing sessions for weaker students.
• Encourage problem‑solving, inquiry‑based learning and scientific thinking.
• Utilise digital teaching tools such as smart boards and educational software.
• Participate in examinations, parent‑teacher meetings, workshops and school activities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related science subject.
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience for grades 8‑10 (preferred).
• B.Ed. from a recognised institution.
• CTET/TET qualification may be required for government schools.

Required skills

• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Laboratory safety procedures.
• Basic computer and educational technology skills.
• Use of digital teaching tools (smart boards, educational software).
