Chef de Partie – Culinary Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Chef de Partie to join our culinary team at a Marriott hotel in Indore. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality meals, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the service team during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Thaw frozen items in refrigeration, ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish.
• Maintain food logs, track inventory, and inform chefs of excess items for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.
• Uphold professional appearance, confidentiality, and asset protection.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift and carry objects up to 25 lb.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
