Chartered Accountant

About the role

Arete Group is looking for an experienced finance professional to lead end‑to‑end accounting, reporting, audit, taxation, compliance, treasury and MIS across its diversified business entities. The role requires strong knowledge of Ind AS, ERP systems and financial compliance within a dynamic, multi‑sector environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage complete accounting operations, ensuring accurate books and timely monthly, quarterly and annual closures.
• Prepare and finalize standalone and consolidated financial statements, perform ledger scrutiny, reconciliations and balance‑sheet schedules.
• Lead statutory, tax, internal and other regulatory audits, coordinate with auditors and resolve observations.
• Oversee real‑estate accounting: project costs, land acquisitions, construction expenses, profitability, budgets and cash flows.
• Handle investment accounting, valuation and portfolio reconciliation for mutual funds, bonds, equities and group investments.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act and other statutory requirements.
• Manage treasury functions, banking transactions, fund positioning and cash‑flow planning.
• Prepare monthly MIS, management reports, variance analysis and support budgeting and forecasting.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing finance and accounting functions for a diversified group of companies.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and related financial compliance.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems and multi‑entity consolidation.
• Ability to independently handle audits, tax filings and statutory reporting.
