CCTV Operator – Security Monitoring (South India)

About the role

The CCTV Operator will monitor live video feeds across multiple client sites in South India, ensuring continuous surveillance of critical areas. You will act as the first line of detection for security incidents, supporting on‑site teams and emergency response through real‑time visual analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multiple live camera feeds in real time from control rooms covering zones such as entry/exit points, lobbies, warehouses and data centres.
• Detect and promptly alert on‑site security supervisors of suspicious activity, safety violations or emergencies.
• Respond to incidents (intrusion, fire alarms, loitering, unauthorized access) and preserve video evidence following chain‑of‑custody protocols.
• Verify access‑control events, cross‑check identities, and flag tailgating or forced entries.
• Ensure timely recording, safe storage, and retrieval of CCTV footage according to site retention policies.
• Conduct regular equipment checks on cameras, DVR/NVRs, monitors, switches and power backups; coordinate maintenance and report faults.
• Maintain daily control‑room logs, shift handover notes and incident reports while respecting confidentiality.

Required profile

• Minimum 12th pass; diploma in Electronics, IT or Computer Applications preferred.
• 1‑3 years of experience in CCTV operation or control‑room environments (malls, tech parks, industrial plants, hospitals or logistics hubs).
• Age between 21 and 45 years.
• Working knowledge of English and a regional language (e.g., Kannada).

Required skills

• Operation of CCTV surveillance systems.
• Familiarity with DVR/NVR recording equipment.
• Understanding of access‑control integration (turnstiles, biometric systems, boom barriers).
• Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
