CATIA V5 CAA Developer (CAx/PLM)

About the role

Airbus is seeking a CATIA V5 CAA Developer to join its Bangalore team. You will support project and run‑mode development activities in the CAx domain for Airbus Information Management, working with a diverse and innovative group of engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CATIA V5/6 extensions using CAA V5/RADE, COM, C++, and CATVBA/CATVbs.
• Design and implement user interfaces with Qt5 and integrate REST APIs with authentication mechanisms (NTLM, OAuth2, MobileSSO).
• Perform geometry modelling, digital mock‑up, CGR conversions, and product structure visualisation.
• Customize workbenches such as Assembly Design and Part Design, and create user‑defined features.
• Deploy CAx applications and integrate them with PLM systems (ENOVIA V5/V6, Trend, Novo, VPM).
• Participate in bug fixing, root‑cause analysis, and code maintenance using ALM tools (ClearCase, GitLab, SVN).
• Collaborate in Waterfall or Agile SDLC environments.

Required profile

• Engineering or IT graduate with 3–6 years of experience in CAx/PLM.
• Proven experience (3–5 years) in CATIA V5/V6 development.
• Strong understanding of geometry concepts and CAD modelling.
• Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
