CATIA Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a CATIA Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support mechanical design projects. The role involves creating detailed models and drawings, ensuring compliance with functional dimensioning and manufacturing requirements, and delivering high‑quality designs on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concepts and detailed designs for mounting definitions of mechanical equipment and subsystems.
• Produce 3D, 2D and 3DFTA models and detailed drawings using CATIA V5.
• Maintain and adhere to process documentation and project standards.
• Coordinate with internal teams and customers to resolve design queries.
• Perform mass calculations and generate assembly documentation.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturability, serviceability and fastener selection criteria.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Strong knowledge of sheet‑metal component design, material processes and welded joint symbols.
• Ability to interpret functional dimensioning requirements and apply GD&T standards.
• Proficiency in basic engineering calculations and fastener/joint design.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with CATIA V5.
• Familiarity with PLM tools such as Enovia.
• Good command of GD&T and drawing standards.
• Experience in 3D, 2D and 3DFTA modeling.
