Category Trade Marketing Manager

About the role

Emami Limited seeks a Category Trade Marketing Manager to shape and execute trade marketing strategies for its Consumer Care portfolio across General Trade, Modern Trade, and E‑Commerce channels. The role will collaborate closely with Sales, Brand Marketing, and Distribution teams to boost brand visibility, drive channel growth, and enhance retail execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement omni‑channel trade marketing strategies aligned with brand and sales objectives.
• Design cluster‑level activation plans to increase product visibility and sell‑out.
• Partner with Heads of Trade Marketing, Modern Trade, E‑Commerce & Sales to roll out national programs at the cluster level.
• Identify and act on opportunities to expand distribution reach, retail penetration, and merchandising standards.
• Plan and execute in‑store activations, promotions, and merchandising initiatives, ensuring high‑quality point‑of‑sale visibility.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and shopper insights to recommend actionable strategies.
• Manage trade marketing budgets, track KPIs such as sell‑out growth, distribution expansion, and retail visibility.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including Supply Chain and Finance—to ensure seamless program execution and support product launches.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Sales, or Channel Marketing within the FMCG industry.
• Hands‑on experience in General Trade (ASM) roles.
• MBA from a reputed institute is preferred.
