Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. The role supports smooth branch operations through accurate cash handling, reconciliation, and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and submit requisitions to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tally, end‑of‑day reconciliation and report in the Branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers, cross‑sell products, and educate them on alternate channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, regulations and bank policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer authenticity during cash withdrawals and verify deposit slip accuracy.
