Bank Cashier – Multiple Locations

About the role

The Cashier will manage all cash‑related transactions and operations for multiple branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position requires accurate processing of deposits, withdrawals, and end‑of‑day reconciliations while delivering courteous service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain and update inward/outward registers, petty‑cash registers and asset registers.
• Perform daily cash tallying, prepare end‑of‑day reports and reconcile transactions in the banking system.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and safeguard cash, keys and other valuables.
• Interact with customers, explain repayment schedules, promote bank products and guide them to use alternate channels.
• Ensure adherence to turnaround times, regulatory compliance and bank policies for all cashier operations.

Required profile

• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to address queries courteously.
• Knowledge of banking guidelines, compliance requirements and cash‑handling procedures.
• Full‑time availability to work at branch locations.
