Cashier – Multiple Branch Locations

About the role

The Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations at branch locations, ensuring compliance with internal and external banking guidelines. The role involves accurate cash handling, end‑of‑day reconciliation, and delivering high‑quality customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and process cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and other instruments within authorized limits.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans.
• Maintain inward/outward registers, petty‑cash registers, and assets registers; submit requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, prepare end‑of‑day reports, and ensure vault operations are conducted jointly with the Operations Officer.
• Interact with customers during deposits and withdrawals, promote cross‑selling opportunities, and educate them on alternate banking channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround time (TAT) standards, regulatory requirements, and bank policies for all cashier operations.
• Validate customer authenticity for cash withdrawals and verify cash deposit slips for audit purposes.

• Ability to work collaboratively with branch staff and maintain secure custody of cash and valuables.
