Cashier – Customer Service & Transaction Specialist

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Cashier position is based in Indore and focuses on handling daily customer transactions for the bank. You will receive payments, issue receipts and process refunds accurately while delivering courteous service.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily customer transactions, including receiving cash and electronic payments, issuing accurate receipts, and processing refunds promptly.
• Maintain and balance cash drawers throughout the shift, performing end‑of‑day reconciliation to ensure totals match recorded transactions.
• Adhere to all cash‑handling policies and security procedures, including verification of customer identification when required.
• Respond to customer inquiries, provide courteous assistance, and offer basic information about bank products and services.
• Assist with broader branch operations, such as organizing transaction records, preparing reports, and coordinating with team members to ensure smooth service flow.

Required profile

• Demonstrate strong numerical accuracy and basic math skills for handling cash, counting change, and reconciling daily totals.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and communication abilities to interact professionally with clients and resolve routine issues.
• Maintain high attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing receipts, transaction logs, and cash drawer records.
• Possess basic computer literacy for operating POS systems and banking software, and consistently follow compliance and security procedures.
• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in finance or accounting is advantageous.
