Carpentry Trainer for Office Interior Fit‑Outs

About the role

The Carpentry Trainer will upskill site carpenters for SKV’s office interior fit‑out projects across the NCR region. The role combines curriculum development, hands‑on classroom training, and on‑site quality assurance to ensure workers meet the company’s finish‑quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain a modular carpentry curriculum covering basic joinery to advanced finishing for office interiors.
• Deliver classroom and practical training batches at the Gurgaon facility and travel to other sites as required.
• Assess trainees through practical tests, quality benchmarks, and certify successful candidates.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, and certification status.
• Teach and supervise assembly of modular office furniture, storage units, conference room fixtures, and soft‑seating.
• Guide site carpentry work including partition framing, door installation, wall paneling, false‑ceiling framing, flooring support, custom joinery, edge‑banding, and window framing.
• Manage material measurement, cutting layout planning, tool upkeep, and quality inspection before client handover.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and site regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in carpentry trades, especially office interior fit‑out projects.
• Ability to conduct both classroom instruction and hands‑on training.
• Familiarity with reading architectural and shop drawings.
• Strong understanding of safety and quality compliance in construction environments.

Required skills

• Carpentry and joinery techniques.
• Furniture assembly for modular systems (e.g., Featherlite, Godrej, Haworth).
• Operation of power tools such as routers, jigsaws, planers, sanders, and drills.
• Material cutting layout planning and optimization.
• Quality inspection of finishes, gaps, and alignments.
• Safety compliance and tool maintenance.
