Care Specialist - Chennai

About the role

The Care Specialist will support patients undergoing ostomy surgery, providing education and hands‑on assistance throughout hospitalization and after discharge. Based in Chennai, you will act as the preferred partner for ostomy care nursing services, ensuring patients receive optimal products and follow‑up care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care before, during and after surgery, including stoma marking, pre‑ and post‑operative guidance, first stoma bag application, and serve as point of contact for complications.
• Educate patients on living with an ostomy, present Coloplast’s ostomy care portfolio, and help them select the most suitable appliance and accessories.
• Ensure new patients are discharged with Coloplast products and achieve value optimization.
• Introduce patients to Coloplast CARE, support their registration, and maintain daily updates of patient details in Salesforce (SFDC).
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) to expand the patient pool and drive business volume.
• Support the Territory Manager in executing marketing initiatives and communication programs while complying with Coloplast’s code of conduct.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of nursing care experience in a reputable hospital.
• Diploma or degree in Nursing.
• Knowledge of stoma management is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Salesforce (SFDC) for patient data management.
