Capex Accounting Specialist

About the role

The Capex Accounting Specialist will oversee and manage the organization’s capital and operational expenditure budgets. You will also design, develop, and maintain a Management Information System (MIS) for Capex activities, providing critical financial insights to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and control the annual Capex budget, aligning investments with strategic goals.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to evaluate project proposals, financial justifications, and feasibility studies.
• Track and report Capex spending, delivering regular updates to senior management.
• Assist in Opex budget planning, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Capex MIS, including dashboards, project tracking, and performance metrics.
• Conduct financial analyses such as ROI, payback period, and other viability metrics.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards while mitigating financial and operational risks.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of post‑qualification experience in finance or accounting.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and renewable‑energy industry dynamics.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate financial insights effectively.
