C++ Software Engineer (Contractor)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer on a contract basis to develop and maintain reader/writer functionality for CAE/FEA solver interfaces. The role involves enhancing code quality, performance, and reliability while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance reader/writer code for various CAE/FEA solver formats.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex software issues.
• Optimize code for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Create and run unit, verification, BVT, and functional tests.
• Investigate and fix issues identified through automated and manual testing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design, implement, and validate solutions.
• Document technical designs, test results, and implementation details.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience in C++ development and software best practices.
• Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems.
• Experience with unit testing, verification testing, and code optimization.
• Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development.
• Good analytical, logical reasoning, communication, and teamwork skills.
