Buyer – Technical Procurement

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Buyer to manage the technical procurement of items for our manufacturing operations. The role involves verifying specifications, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring seamless ordering through SAP.
Key responsibilities
- Float enquiries for assigned items based on user requirements.
- Validate technical requirements against vendor specifications and flag discrepancies.
- Conduct first‑round negotiations with vendors and provide recommendations to the Buying Manager.
- Place orders for approved items and record transactions in the SAP system.
- Address internal and external audit queries related to procurement, escalating when necessary.
Required profile
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 2–6 years of experience in category‑based sourcing and manufacturing procurement.
- Experience in supply management within a plant environment.
- Strong analytical mindset and commercial acumen.
Required skills
- SAP procurement module.
