Buyer II – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Worley is seeking a Buyer II to support the procurement function across a range of projects in the energy, chemicals and resources sectors. The role involves managing the full tender process, from request for quotation to purchase order issuance, while collaborating closely with senior team members and vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to listed vendors.
• Track bid acknowledgments and collect vendor offers.
• Resolve commercial and technical queries in consultation with senior staff.
• Conduct techno‑commercial and commercial bid evaluations and recommend award decisions.
• Generate purchase orders and manage change orders.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to address change requirements.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in procurement within hydrocarbon, petrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, FMCG, food & bio, mining or infrastructure sectors.
• Strong understanding of purchase processes, SOPs, and commercial terms and conditions.
• Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, E&I) or relevant diploma; PG Diploma in Material Management is a plus.
• High ethical standards, strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
