Buyer Associate – Procurement & Sourcing

About the role

The Buyer Associate supports the procurement function by managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely, cost‑effective acquisition of goods and services. This role works closely with operations teams and internal stakeholders to meet business needs while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders in the procurement system.
• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy before order placement.
• Coordinate with suppliers to obtain quotations, confirm orders, and schedule deliveries.
• Track order status and follow up on open deliveries to ensure on‑time fulfillment.
• Resolve supplier and invoice issues in collaboration with Accounts Payable and internal teams.
• Maintain procurement data, supplier records, and purchasing documentation.
• Support sourcing activities such as RFQ/RFP processes and supplier evaluations.
• Analyze pricing, spending trends, and purchasing data to identify savings opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or Associate’s degree with 1+ year relevant experience).
• 2–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply‑chain operations.
• Experience using ERP platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Ariba) and strong knowledge of the purchase order lifecycle.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
