Business Intelligence Engineer II – Retail Business Service Data Engineering

About the role

Amazon’s Retail Business Services (RBS) team is seeking a customer‑obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer II to help drive data‑driven decisions across catalog defect detection, selection, and defect elimination. You will work with large, multi‑dimensional datasets and collaborate with scientists, analysts, and product leads to improve operational and quality metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret data from Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL and other sources.
• Design and maintain dashboards using Tableau, Amazon QuickSight or Power BI.
• Develop and deploy machine‑learning and statistical models.
• Build and maintain Python utilities and ETL pipelines for efficient ad‑hoc analysis.
• Ensure data consistency across platforms to accelerate issue detection and resolution.
• Explore and adopt new AWS technologies to increase capabilities.
• Mentor team members on analytics best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience analyzing large data sets (Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL).
• 2+ years of experience with data‑visualization tools (Tableau, QuickSight, Power BI).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent Amazon experience).
• Full‑time exempt work experience preferred.
