Business Development Specialist

About the role

Surekha Exports is seeking a full‑time Business Development Specialist to join its Kozhikode office. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, building relationships with prospective and existing clients, and guiding deals from initial contact through contract signing.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and analyse trends to pinpoint growth opportunities.
• Generate, qualify and follow up on leads across the sports infrastructure sector.
• Prepare tailored proposals and presentations for potential clients.
• Coordinate with internal sales, operations and technical teams to align solutions with client requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity records in CRM systems and update sales pipelines.
• Participate in client meetings, negotiations and post‑sale support to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management, preferably within construction or sports infrastructure.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret market data and support data‑driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills for face‑to‑face presentations and negotiations.
• Willingness to travel as needed and work independently to achieve targets.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Familiarity with CRM or sales‑management tools.
