Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, building client relationships, and converting leads into long‑term contracts. Based in Kochi, you will work closely with sales, operations and marketing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Research and prospect new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, referrals and cold calling.
• Generate qualified leads, conduct client meetings, presentations and product demonstrations.
• Prepare and submit proposals, quotations and negotiate commercial terms within company guidelines.
• Maintain and expand relationships with existing and prospective clients, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and provide market intelligence to senior management.
• Coordinate with internal departments to execute client requirements and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Produce weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts and performance updates.
• Achieve assigned sales targets and KPIs, and represent the company at exhibitions and networking events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or related field (MBA preferred).
• 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales or corporate sales, preferably in travel, tourism, hospitality or related services.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to work independently, meet targets and manage a pipeline of opportunities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience using CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
