Business Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth in our import‑export operations. The successful candidate will identify new international opportunities, build strong partnerships, and ensure smooth coordination across global trade processes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop new international markets to expand import‑export opportunities.
• Generate leads through cold calling, email campaigns, trade portals, exhibitions, and networking.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with overseas clients, vendors, and freight forwarders.
• Understand client requirements, prepare competitive quotations, negotiate pricing, and close deals.
• Collaborate with internal teams for documentation, shipment planning, LC/invoice preparation, and logistics follow‑ups.
• Track consignments, ensure timely delivery, resolve issues, and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Maintain sales databases, monitor pipeline status, and produce business development reports.
• Stay updated on global trade trends, competitor activities, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in International Business, Marketing, or Commerce.
• 1–3 years of experience in business development or import‑export (fresh graduates with strong communication skills are welcome).
• Strong knowledge of export documentation such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and letters of credit.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Proactive follow‑up skills with the ability to work independently and deliver results.
