Business Development Manager – Corporate Insurance Sales

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to lead corporate insurance sales across multiple Indian cities. The role focuses on generating new business, managing end‑to‑end sales cycles, and building lasting relationships with corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and convert corporate clients into insurance business opportunities.
• Generate new business through networking, referrals, and corporate outreach.
• Engage CXOs, business owners, HR leaders, and key decision‑makers.
• Promote Employee Benefits and Non‑Employee Benefits insurance products.
• Conduct virtual or physical client meetings for presentations, negotiations, and deal closures.
• Manage the full sales lifecycle: lead generation, pitching, negotiation, and closure.
• Maintain strong client relationships for renewals, retention, and cross‑selling.
• Coordinate with internal teams and insurers to ensure seamless onboarding and servicing.
• Consistently achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Required profile

• 6‑12 years of experience in corporate insurance sales or business development.
• Graduate degree; MBA in Marketing preferred.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Associate/Fellowship from Insurance Institute of India) are a plus.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Strong client relationship and stakeholder management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience using CRM tools for sales pipeline management.
