Business Development Executive

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to join our USA Logistics team as a Freight Broker. You will coordinate freight movements, source carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure seamless transportation services for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Source, qualify, and onboard carriers to meet transportation requirements.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers and customers while protecting profit margins.
• Book, dispatch, and monitor shipments from pickup through delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and owner‑operators.
• Track shipments, resolve service issues, and manage documentation such as Rate Confirmations, Bills of Lading, and Proof of Delivery.
• Update Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and CRM platforms with accurate shipment records.
• Monitor market trends, freight rates, and lane availability to optimize pricing and capacity.
• Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure timely execution.
• Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly brokerage, margin, and performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field (preferred).
• 0–2 years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, dispatch, or USA logistics (freshers with strong communication are welcome).
• Basic understanding of USA transportation modes including dry van, reefer, flatbed, drayage, and OTR.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship‑management abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Willingness to work USA shifts.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Experience with CRM platforms.
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Use of load boards such as DAT and Truckstop.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
