Business Controller – Performance Materials (India)

About the role

The Business Controller will lead the Performance Materials (PM) Controlling team in India, acting as a trusted business partner for internal stakeholders. You will be responsible for comprehensive controlling, reporting and business analysis across multiple sites, ensuring cost transparency and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the PM Controlling team, providing guidance and fostering partnership with stakeholders.
• Oversee controlling, reporting and business analysis for PM sites in Thane, Dahej and Panoli.
• Prepare and submit monthly financial analysis, margin commentary, cost reports and capital expenditure updates.
• Ensure data accuracy in Business Warehouses and SAP, and coordinate with global business teams on discrepancies.
• Drive the annual operational planning process and manage project controlling for capacity expansions.
• Conduct profitability (CM1) analysis, monitor cost development, and propose cost‑saving initiatives.
• Support credit management, inventory monitoring and standard‑cost updates.
• Promote digitalisation and AI usage to reduce manual tasks and increase efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a controlling or finance team.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to explain deviations and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to ensure compliance and drive cost‑transparency across multiple sites.
