Branch Operations & Financial Officer

About the role

The Branch Operations & Financial Officer is responsible for the day‑to‑day operational, financial, commercial and administrative activities of the Tamluk branch. The role ensures 100% compliance with regulatory and organisational guidelines while supporting sales and licensing functions.

Key responsibilities

• Execute receipting, banking, and reconciliation processes for cash, cheques and demand drafts with zero errors.
• Detect counterfeit notes and manage cheque dishonour situations to prevent losses.
• Maintain safe custody of cash boxes, keys and assets, and reconcile branch assets regularly.
• Process advisor licensing applications and renewals accurately and on time.
• Prepare and distribute sales management MIS reports, including data from Receipt Writer and Sales Portal.
• Coordinate reward and recognition programmes for the sales force.
• Manage inventory of marketing collateral and sales promotion material.
• Assist in fraud and compliance investigations related to advisors and FLS.
• Update advisor contact information in BSLI online and support post‑welcome communication.

Required profile

• Proven experience in branch operations, financial processing and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to handle multiple systems simultaneously and work under bandwidth or connectivity constraints.
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of 100% accuracy in transactional work.
• Capability to work extended hours and manage unpredictable workload spikes.
• Excellent confidentiality handling and documentation skills.
