Branch Manager - Operations

About the role

Max Transtech Limited is hiring a Branch Manager for its operations in Dehradun and Pathankot. The role covers day-to-day branch operations, client acquisition and relationship management, and running a profitable branch.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth daily operations of the branch, including pickups, transit and delivery in line with SLAs and TATs.
• Maintain service quality and reduce service gaps in POD management and DEPSI (damage, excess, pilferage, shortage, interchange).
• Visit the market weekly to acquire local clients and keep existing ones engaged.
• Manage vendor performance and ensure timely invoice closure.
• Handle extra load during sales periods and festive seasons by coordinating with the Head Office.
• Hire and manage staff and optimise costs to run a profitable branch.
• Run regular training so clients follow SOPs and operational hygiene.

Required profile

• Graduate in any discipline; logistics or supply chain specialisation preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in branch or hub operations within courier or logistics companies (B2B/B2C).
• Knowledge of Agra and surrounding regional markets, including industrial and customer hubs.
• Fluent English and Hindi; local dialect is a plus.
• Willing to travel locally for customer meetings and reviews (at least 7 days per month).

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of transport operations, WMS and TMS systems.
• Leadership, team management and operational excellence.
• Analytical, customer-focused, with strong follow-up and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP platforms.
