Branch Cashier – Full-time

About the role

The Branch Cashier is responsible for executing all cash‑related transactions and operations for the branch in line with internal and external banking guidelines. This full‑time position ensures accurate processing, reconciliation and customer service for cash handling activities.

Key responsibilities

• Execute cash‑related transactions, including receipt and processing of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders and similar instruments.
• Disburse cash for withdrawal requests and collect cash for deposit challans, maintaining accurate entries in the banking system.
• Collect loan repayments according to EMI schedules and update relevant registers.
• Maintain inward/outward cash registers, petty‑cash register, assets register and forward requisition forms to the Regional Head Office.
• Perform daily cash tallying, reconcile with transaction books and prepare the end‑of‑day branch report.
• Jointly manage the branch vault and cash custody together with the Assistant Branch Manager.
• Provide courteous customer service, address queries, promote bank products and guide customers to alternative channels.
• Ensure compliance with turnaround times, bank policies and regulatory requirements for all cashier operations.
