BIM Specialist – Plumbing & Fire Protection

About the role

Axium Global is seeking a full‑time BIM Specialist focused on plumbing and fire protection systems to join its Mumbai office. The role involves creating detailed BIM models, coordinating with architectural, structural and MEP disciplines, and ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed BIM models for plumbing and fire protection systems, including pipework layouts, fixtures and equipment.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications, and update models based on design changes and clash detection results.
• Coordinate BIM models with architectural, structural and other MEP disciplines to resolve clashes.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and external stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation.
• Prepare shop drawings, project documentation and support quality checks.
• Maintain organized project files, meet delivery deadlines and contribute to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, layout design, fixture selection and integration with building services.
• Hands‑on experience with pipe routing, sizing and BIM coordination for plumbing and fire protection.
• Understanding of maintenance and repair practices for building services.
• Customer‑service mindset with ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management skills and ability to work on‑site in Mumbai.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and a problem‑solving attitude.
