Billing Specialist

About the role

The Billing Specialist will handle residential and commercial invoicing for regulated electric and gas utilities, ensuring timely and accurate billing through the SAP platform while complying with regional energy policies.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve transactional and customer billing queries and issues.
• Validate accuracy of standard and complex products during daily bill audits.
• Create, review, edit, and validate billing documents for completeness.
• Submit invoices according to customer specifications and adhere to KPIs and SLAs.
• Escalate unresolved issues to leads or supervisors promptly.
• Research, calculate, and apply adjustments to issue corrected invoices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer‑facing problem solving or issue resolution, preferably in a BPS/BPO/DPO environment.
• Familiarity with utility billing processes and regulatory compliance.
