Global Billing Operations Manager

About the role

The Invoice Review Lead will oversee the global billing function, managing invoice preparation, OOPS invoicing and review across State Street’s worldwide businesses. This senior position leads a large, geographically dispersed team to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end invoicing activities, including invoice preparation, review and out‑of‑pocket expense billing.
• Lead a global invoice review team, ensuring consistency, control effectiveness and transparency.
• Maintain a robust control environment with process governance, SOX and RCSA compliance.
• Drive process re‑engineering, standardisation and automation initiatives for invoicing.
• Measure team productivity, manage resources for ad‑hoc projects and provide subject‑matter expertise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance; CPA qualification preferred.
• 10‑12 years of experience in global billing within a large financial services institution.
• Proven leadership in building invoice functions across multiple geographies.
• Experience with risk‑based controls, SOX, RCSA and policy development.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, workbook maintenance).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, Word and Visio.
• Knowledge of billing systems and financial architecture (GL, sub‑GL).
