BI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join TELUS Digital’s analytics team in Noida. In this hybrid role you will design, develop, and maintain analytics modules on our TAC platform, delivering self‑service visualisations using Google Looker.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Looker (Core) models, LookML, and user‑defined dashboards.
• Write efficient SQL queries and model complex data relationships in BigQuery.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to embed analytics into TELUS Digital’s product offerings.
• Provide application support, troubleshoot data issues and ensure data quality.
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing using JIRA and Confluence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience building analytics solutions on GCP Looker.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and effective communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with the ability to work across multiple business domains.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform – Looker (Core) and LookML.
• SQL and data modelling, preferably with BigQuery.
• Experience with other BI platforms is a plus.
• Terraform for templating, Looker extensions, CI/CD pipelines.
• JIRA and Confluence for work item management.
