BI & Analytics Analyst

About the role

Moody's is hiring an Analyst-BI & Analytics for its Finance Data Engineering team in Gurugram, India. The team delivers accurate data pipelines, business intelligence solutions and analytics that support financial decision-making and reporting, and is integrating AI-powered tools into its analytics workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Power BI dashboards and coordinate data engineering delivery to support analytics and reporting needs for the Finance department.
• Design, build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, DAX measures and row-level security.
• Transform raw pipeline and project data into production-ready business intelligence reports and visual insights.
• Work with data engineers and business stakeholders, tracking tasks, dependencies and blockers in JIRA to keep the delivery pipeline on schedule.
• Assist data engineers with project artifacts such as Technical Design Documents, process documentation and delivery checklists.
• Maintain the Power BI service, including gateways, dataflows and workspace administration.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve reporting and data quality issues, and take part in sprint planning and delivery reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics or another quantitative field.
• 2 or more years of business experience in a data, analytics or finance environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to coordinate between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to change, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX and report and dashboard development.
• Familiarity with JIRA for tracking tasks, sprints and delivery status.
• Preferred: basic SQL, assistance with technical documentation, and a basic understanding of AI concepts and responsible AI practices.
