About the role

The Bakery / Pastry Commis I supports the Baker Chef in daily bread and pastry production within a hospitality environment. This position ensures high‑quality baked goods while maintaining strict hygiene and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Baker Chef in preparing a variety of breads, pastries and baked items.
• Follow recipes, methods and instructions from the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
• Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and sanitation in the bakery area.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Help manage inventory and order bakery supplies.
• Participate in menu planning and development of new bakery products.
• Ensure proper grooming, hygiene and code‑of‑conduct standards.

Required profile

• Commitment to food‑safety and statutory hygiene regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment.
• Attention to detail in preparation and presentation of baked goods.
• Willingness to coordinate with department supervisors and managers.
