Baggage Screening Trainee (Security Screener)

About the role

Join Adani Airports Holding Limited as a Baggage Screening Trainee and support the safe and efficient processing of checked‑in luggage. You will work with state‑of‑the‑art screening equipment, ensure compliance with aviation security regulations, and help maintain a secure travel environment for passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS imaging equipment to detect dangerous goods, prohibited items, weapons, or ammunition in baggage.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) tests on bags flagged by X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines, documenting all findings for audit and inspection purposes.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and other security equipment, reporting any malfunctions.
• Collaborate with CISF personnel and airline staff during inspections and resolution of suspicious items.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors on operational issues and coordinate with stakeholders as needed.

Required profile

• Successful completion of all mandatory regulatory training and certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Good communication skills for interaction with passengers and security teams.
• Commitment to maintaining high security standards and compliance.
