Baggage Screener – Airport Security

About the role

The Baggage Screener ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at Adani Airports, complying with all regulatory standards and detecting prohibited items or security threats. The role involves operating advanced screening equipment, documenting findings, and interacting with passengers and security staff.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS equipment for image analysis to detect dangerous goods, prohibited articles, weapons, or ammunition in check‑in baggage.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests on baggage flagged during X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines to ensure strict compliance during baggage handling and inspection.
• Record and document all findings to meet audit and inspection requirements.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and other security equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions and assist in maintaining operational registers.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during physical inspections and suspicious item resolutions.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors on operational issues.

Required profile

• Attend all regulatory trainings and clear them as required.
• Ability to operate and interpret results from X‑BIS, ETD, and CT‑EDS equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Effective teamwork and communication with security personnel and airline staff.
• Commitment to adhering to aviation security directives and safety standards.
