Backend Engineer – AI‑Enabled Healthcare Microservices

About the role

We are seeking a versatile Backend Engineer to build and maintain robust microservices that integrate advanced AI models into real‑world healthcare applications. The role demands a strong focus on scalability, security (HIPAA compliance), and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale backend services for large‑scale healthcare datasets.
• Collaborate with data scientists to deploy and integrate machine‑learning models in production.
• Implement Test‑Driven Development (TDD) to ensure code reliability.
• Maintain strict security standards, including encryption at rest and in transit.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Proven experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, AWS acceptable).
• Solid understanding of container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with event‑driven architectures (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Experience working in a regulated healthcare environment.
