Backend Developer – API Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Developer with deep expertise in designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs. The successful candidate will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑performance backend services that power modern applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, efficient, and reusable backend services and APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and deliver API contracts.
• Optimize database queries and ensure system scalability and reliability.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data validation mechanisms for APIs.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues promptly.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with one or more backend frameworks such as Node.js/Express, Python/Django/FastAPI, Java/Spring Boot, or .NET Core.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles; experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Proficient in database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
• Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, GitLab).
