Back Office Executive – Retirement & Benefits Specialist

About the role

This position supports the administration of retirement and benefit plans, providing analytical calculations, employee guidance, and liaison services. You will work closely with plan participants, actuaries, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and compliant benefit delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform retirement and benefits calculations, including service repurchase, contribution withdrawals, and deferred retirement scenarios.
• Research and recommend appropriate benefit plans based on data analysis.
• Deliver group benefit presentations and conduct individual interviews on retirement and pension options.
• Prepare and distribute plan information and documentation to participants and beneficiaries.
• Maintain comprehensive records for active, deferred, retired, and separated members.
• Act as liaison between participants, beneficiaries, and plan administrators to process contribution adjustments, refunds, and other changes.
• Coordinate with actuaries, accountants, and other professionals to compile verified data for plan administration.
• Assist with open enrollment for retiree insurance benefits.
• Ensure all retirement plans comply with company policies, state, and federal regulations.
• Stay updated on legal, regulatory, and industry trends affecting retirement benefits.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
