Back End Developer – C#/.NET, PostgreSQL

About the role

Explorance, a Montreal‑based provider of people insight solutions, is looking for a Back End Developer to join its Chennai office. You will design, build and maintain secure, scalable server‑side components that power their analytics platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Implement stored procedures and scalable data access layers.
• Develop secure, reusable code libraries and back‑end features from technical analysis.
• Validate and correct upstream technical designs and troubleshoot production issues.
• Perform data migration, transformation and scripting tasks.
• Write automated unit tests and conduct performance tuning and optimization.
• Estimate feature effort, demo new functionality and support bug fixes.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a “get‑it‑done” attitude.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and collaborate across teams.
• Residency in Chennai or surrounding area and willingness to work on‑site.

Required skills

• C# with .NET MVC and .NET Core.
• PostgreSQL database development.
• IIS web‑server technology.
• Performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring tools.
• Automated unit testing.
