AVP Regulatory Assurance

About the role

Barclays is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead regulatory assurance reviews for its Finance function, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements and control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of regulatory assurance reviews across Finance and Regulatory Reporting processes.
• Execute end‑to‑end assurance activities including planning, risk assessment, testing, issue validation, root‑cause analysis and reporting.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls supporting regulatory reporting and finance governance.
• Identify control weaknesses, emerging risks and thematic trends, and provide practical recommendations.
• Track remediation activities and validate issue closure to ensure sustainable resolution.

Required profile

• Strong experience in regulatory assurance, risk assessment and control testing within a finance environment.
• Ability to partner with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Regulatory Reporting and Control Owner teams.
• Proven capability to influence decision‑making, develop policies and drive continuous improvement.
