Auditor – Wholesale Banking Credit

About the role

The Auditor will independently review the Wholesale Banking credit portfolio, ensuring the accuracy, compliance and effectiveness of credit processes, risk management and loan documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct independent audits of the Wholesale Banking portfolio to verify compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits across various businesses, processes and operations related to Wholesale Banking.
• Draft audit findings, discuss them with auditees and follow up to achieve closure.
• Assist in planning, designing and implementing risk‑based audit plans to safeguard the bank’s safety and soundness.
• Ensure timely completion of audits and proper documentation of work papers.
• Track status of reported issues and monitor the closure of open audit points.
• Maintain benchmarked processes against best practices and peer banks.
• Update the Audit Procedure Manual and related checklists.
• Provide improvement suggestions for existing processes and systems.
• Oversee the concurrent audit process, ensuring timely report submission, checklist updates, issue review and remediation.

Required profile

• In‑depth understanding of credit risk management, regulatory requirements and internal banking policies.
• Proven ability to draft clear audit findings and engage with auditees for resolution.
• Experience in planning, designing and executing risk‑based audit programmes.
• Strong track‑record of monitoring audit issues and ensuring their timely closure.
• Capability to keep audit procedures and checklists current and aligned with best practices.
