Associate Vice President – Security Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Vice President‑level Security Specialist to act as a subject‑matter expert across our organisation. In this role you will embed security considerations early in product design, ensure robust risk management, and drive cost‑effective security initiatives throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with feature teams during backlog refinement, sprint planning and retrospectives to integrate security requirements.
• Champion a culture of innovation by monitoring the latest developments in your security domain and communicating their impact.
• Support the organisation in building and operating secure services that protect employees and customers.
• Analyse security implications of backlog items and ensure they are addressed at every programme increment.
• Work with internal and external partners to align decisions with commercial goals and long‑term value.
• Apply data‑driven decision‑making, ROI analysis and cost‑management principles to security initiatives.

Required profile

• Experience with, or willingness to learn, risk management frameworks and setting risk appetites.
• Background in defining risk policy controls and conducting benchmarking against peers and industry standards.
• Strong ability to translate technical security issues into clear business language.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies and how security fits within them.
