Associate SOC Cyber Defense & Engineering – Advisory (Kolkata)

About the role

PwC is looking for an Associate in SOC Cyber Defense & Engineering to join its Advisory practice in Kolkata. You will work across multiple cybersecurity domains, delivering proactive protection for client systems and data while supporting the broader cyber‑risk program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide round‑the‑clock threat monitoring, detection, and analysis.
• Perform alert triage, initial assessment, incident validation, and severity classification.
• Prioritise security alerts and create incidents according to established SOPs.
• Conduct vulnerability management, threat intelligence handling, and threat hunting activities.
• Manage SOC platforms, automate repetitive tasks, and integrate assets for comprehensive coverage.
• Prepare and deliver incident reports, escalations, and recommendations to clients.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years (L1) or 4 years (L2) of experience in SOC, incident management, incident response, threat detection engineering, vulnerability management, automation, asset integration, threat intelligence, or threat hunting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse suspicious or malicious behaviour and respond effectively.
• Strong understanding of security operations processes and best practices.
