Associate Research Integrity Adviser

About the role

Springer Nature is building a dedicated team to safeguard research integrity across its journals, books and databases. As an Associate Research Integrity Adviser you will support the Resolutions team in handling ethical queries, ensuring timely and consistent outcomes while developing expertise in publication ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in triaging and prioritising incoming research integrity and publication‑ethics concerns, flagging urgent or high‑risk cases.
• Collaborate with senior advisers and specialists to investigate allegations, gather evidence and maintain case‑management tickets.
• Draft clear, professional correspondence to authors, editors and stakeholders using approved templates.
• Maintain accurate case files, evidence logs and project plans to support auditability and reporting.
• Use internal tools, databases and external resources to assess the validity of concerns.
• Escalate complex, sensitive or ambiguous queries to the Research Integrity Manager or senior advisers.
• Contribute feedback to improve workflows, SOPs, templates and team processes.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate education in STEM, HSS, publishing, research ethics or equivalent experience.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to produce professional correspondence.
• Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time‑management abilities with high attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset capable of reviewing information, identifying inconsistencies and summarising findings.
